Koya Webb’s Get Loved Up Is Wellness With Room for Everybody
Let me tell you about Koya Webb.
There’s a former track athlete whose Olympic dream ended with an injury — and who found yoga while putting herself back together, then turned that recovery into a global wellness school and a 2026 book deal with a major publisher. Her name is Koya Webb, and she’s the founder of Get Loved Up.
The Work
Koya is the Founder and CEO of Get Loved Up, an international wellness community and a multidisciplinary Holistic Health and Yoga School she launched in 2018 to champion diversity in wellness. Through it she teaches yoga, breathwork, plant-based living, and the nervous-system practices she calls her Lifestyle Design Method.
She’s a best-selling author: Let Your Fears Make You Fierce (Hay House, 2019), and — the fresh news — Wellbeing Rituals: Science-Backed Practices for Sustainable Healing and Living, published by Wiley on June 16, 2026, with a companion journal to follow under a two-book deal she signed in 2025.
She’s been a certified personal trainer since she was 19 and a life coach since 25, holds an RYT 500 and certifications across Ashtanga, breathwork, meditation, paddle board, acro yoga, and life coaching, and graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She’s shared her work with thousands of students over two decades and has been featured in Forbes, Goop, ESSENCE, NBC, CBS, and E!.
The Roots
Koya was raised in a small country town outside Memphis, Tennessee — Humboldt — and now lives in Marina del Rey, California. She got into yoga the hard way: a debilitating track-and-field injury derailed her athletic career, and the practice that helped her heal became the vocation she’d build a life around.
She built Get Loved Up into a global teaching platform, collaborated with more than 40 wellness brands, and scaled her business into the six and seven figures — all while keeping the mission centered on self-care as a form of justice.
Why You Should Know Her
Here’s why Koya Webb matters right now: burnout is being sold to high-achieving women as a personal failing, and the wellness industry keeps prescribing the wrong medicine. Koya teaches the opposite — that what looks like burnout is often a nervous system stuck in survival mode, and that rest, breath, and ritual are how you get your life back.
She went from injured athlete to wellness-school founder to Wiley-published author. That’s not just a glow-up. That’s a blueprint.
